Filling and Grinding
We do cosmetic work to parts prior to paint which includes the filling of seams and stud heads and any blemishes in the material that may show after being painted.
Liquid Painting / Spray Painting
Spray painting is something that sets us apart from other paint shops. There are several powder coaters around the area, but there are only a few liquid coaters around. Industrial spray painting involves spray-applied enamels, epoxies, polyurethanes and lacquers on metal, plastic, or wood surfaces. We are able to run one part up to several thousands of parts. We are able to custom match any color you need. RB Metal Finishing, LLC is also qualified to paint to military and government specifications.
Masking
This is one capability that sets us apart from our competitors. Our masking department has the knowledge and skill to mask the most critical areas that need to be free of paint. For example, some parts may require a bare spot for electrical-grounding contact. We often use tapes, plugs, caps, and steel fixtures to mask areas.
Powder Coating
Powder Coating is a process of atomizing a dried granular paint and applying it electrostatically to a metal part which has been properly cleaned. Prior to applying powder, the part will need to be sufficiently cleaned. RB Metal Finishing, LLC has been powder coating since 1970. Our batch style system allows us to do a wide range of parts all varying in size. Our shop is equipped with 2 large powder booths- 8’x7’x5’. We are also capable of doing much larger parts outside the booth.
Pre-Treatment Line
We have two separate treatment lines. One for aluminum and one for steel:
- 5 Stage Iron Phosphate Line (Steel)
- 5 Stage ROHS Compliant Trivalent Chrome Line (Aluminum)
Silk Screening
RB Painting also offers top quality, detail-oriented silk screening, including artwork, screen making, and color matching. We stock a wide variety of inks to accommodate the many substrates and unique item sizes and shapes we screen.
- We silk screen to government/military specifications and certify accordingly, and we also fill engraving to required specifications.
